Captain Green Anchors
When Capt Bryan calculated that his boat anchors ended the season lighter than they started, he was horrified to realize that he and countless fishermen were leaching and chipping lead into Montana’s gorgeous waterways. Lead in lakes and rivers commonly causes neurological damage and death in fish and large birds like loons, eagles, and ospreys. To combat this, Bryan started making and eventually selling his own anchors that are made with recycled lead and encased in steel to prevent the lead from entering the watershed.
Our guides care deeply about the environment, not only because they make a living on the rivers, but also because they spend their free time fishing, hunting, rafting, hiking and enjoying the outdoors. All our guides employ safe and ethical fishing and handling practices and hold various certifications regarding ethical and environmentally conscious fishing and boating methods. You can fish with a clear conscience with us knowing the fish you catch care caught with care and respect.
